On April 10, a presentation of the popular science project "Universe of Knowledge" from KhAI was held for high school students of the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv.
The meeting with the university's teachers and scientists took place in the underground school of Lyceum No. 153, where about 100 students from the four largest lyceums of the district gathered. The event combined acquaintance with modern technologies, live communication with KhAIrepresentatives, and the opportunity to learn more about future admission and studies.
The schoolchildren got acquainted with models of cars and car engines, examined body parts, tried out glasses that simulate the state of driver fatigue, and worked with VR glasses. Models of gas turbine engines, parts of vane machines, a 3D projector, and a model of the Stirling engine aroused considerable interest.
Special attention was drawn to robotic systems - a programmed car, a "beetle robot", as well as stands for controlling an unstable object of the inverted pendulum type and "tailless" control surfaces.
The space direction was represented by models of a rocket and a satellite, as well as samples of products made of composite materials. The medical and technical component was demonstrated by a vascular visualizer, a pulse oximeter and the "Phasegraph" complex.
A shooting range using electromagnetic energy, a banknote counter, a currency detector, a forensic suitcase and training weapons aroused practical interest. The program was supplemented by materials for the "Success" lottery from document experts.
The event was organized by the Education Department of the Novobavarsky District Administration of the Kharkiv City Council together with the preparatory department of Khai Institute in cooperation with all faculties of the university with the assistance of the institution's management.
"Universe of Knowledge" gathers interested youth who are already choosing their technological future today.
