On February 18, 2026, the popular science event “Universe of Knowledge” was held in the city of Valky, conducted by teachers and scientists of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”.
The meeting was held in the protected space of the city’s leading educational institution — the Oleksandr Maselskyi Valky Lyceum — and brought together more than 60 high school students.
The students saw and studied the operation of a sound level meter and personal protective equipment, got acquainted with models of gas turbine engines, parts of vane machines and a model of the Stirling engine. A robotic programmed car, a “beetle robot” and a holographic projector aroused considerable interest.
High school students observed the operation of a stand for controlling an unstable object of the “reverse pendulum” type, a stand for controlling control surfaces of the “Tailless” type, Tello programmable drones, a laboratory model of the CubeSAT satellite, got acquainted with samples of products made of composite materials, a liquid rocket engine and a rocket model. The medical and technical direction presented a vascular visualizer, a pulse oximeter and a portable electrocardiograph “Phasegraph”. A portable printer, a banknote counter, a forensic suitcase and training weapons were also demonstrated.
The cognitive part was supplemented by a linguistic game in English using textbooks and dictionaries compiled by KhAI students.
On the same day, the lyceum’s page wrote: “A special part of the event was interactive activities and master classes from the university’s faculties. This format allowed lyceum students not only to receive theoretical information, but also to see the practical application of knowledge. The event was held in the format of live communication and became an important step in the professional self-determination of students.
The event was organized by the Department of Education of the Valkivsk City Council together with the Preparatory Department of KhAI in cooperation with all faculties of the university with the assistance of the institution's management.
"Universe of Knowledge" continues to unite the communities of the Kharkiv region, confirming that interest in science and engineering is growing steadily even in difficult times.
