On February 24, the popular science event “Universe of Knowledge” was held in the village of Krasnokutsk, conducted by teachers and scientists of KhAI.
The meeting was held in the protected space of Krasnokutsk Lyceum No. 1 and brought together more than 50 high school students who had the opportunity to join living science even in difficult wartime conditions.
The students saw a model of an aircraft, models of gas turbine engines, parts of bladed machines and a model of a Stirling engine. Considerable attention was attracted by a 3D projector, a flight simulator, a stand for controlling the control surfaces of an aircraft of the “Bezhvostka” type and a stand for demonstrating the laws of control.
The high school students worked with a micrometer and a microscope, got acquainted with a model of a rocket and a satellite, samples of products made of composite materials, a liquid rocket engine. The medical and technical direction was presented by a vascular visualizer, a pulse oximeter and the “Phasegraph” complex.
Practical interest was aroused by a shooting range using a pistol that uses electromagnetic energy to move a projectile, a banknote counter, a currency detector, a forensic suitcase, and a polygraph. Each of these exhibits allowed schoolchildren not only to see technologies, but also to understand their real-world application.
The event was organized by the Education Department of the Krasnokutsk Village Council of the Bogodukhov District together with the Preparatory Department of Khai in cooperation with all faculties of the university with the assistance of the institution's management.
"The Universe of Knowledge" continues to unite the communities of the Kharkiv region, proving that interest in engineering, science, and modern technologies remains strong even in the most difficult times.
