Today, the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” hosted the grand opening of the Academic Integrity Week.
The event brought together academic staff, university employees, and students. Participants joined in the discussion of key principles of academic culture and modern standards of educational and scientific activity — meaningfully, openly, and to the point.
The grand opening was opened by the university’s rector, Oleksii LYTVYNOV. In his speech, he emphasized that academic integrity is not only about rules, but above all about the quality of education, trust in the results of scientific research, and the international authority of the university.
As part of the event, Andrii HUMENNYI, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, presented the updated KhAI Academic Integrity Code, developed in accordance with modern legislative requirements and recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the formation of a culture of integrity, the personal responsibility of each participant in the educational process, and the implementation of effective mechanisms for preventing violations.
Representatives of the scientific and pedagogical community and students joined the discussion, who emphasized the importance of academic integrity as an integral part of professional development and the development of the university environment.
The Academic Integrity Week is aimed at forming a conscious attitude towards ethical norms, improving the level of academic culture, and strengthening the reputation of the university as a modern educational and scientific center.
