From the Cup of Ukraine to the World Championship: a new car model is being created at the LTTS of Khai for the European champion Mykola VASYLKOV.
The Laboratory of Technical Creativity of Khai Students is one of the most famous and oldest laboratories of the university. It is here that engineering thought, technical creativity and sportsmanship are combined, and new design solutions are born.
The 2026 sports season has started successfully for the representative of the Laboratory of Technical Creativity of Khai Students Mykola VASYLKOV. In June, at the Open Cup of Ukraine in car model sports, he won a convincing victory in his model class, confirming the high level of sportsmanship and technical training on the eve of the main starts of the season.
Mykola VASYLKOV is the current European champion in car model sports, a multiple winner and prize-winner of prestigious all-Ukrainian and international competitions. This year, his main sporting goals are a successful performance at the Ukrainian Championship and the World Championship.
However, preparation for international starts continues not only on the track. One of the key areas of the Laboratory's work in 2026 was the design and manufacture of a new body for a sports toy car model for performances at international competitions.
Athletes, employees and graduates of Khai are working together on the new model. The main structural elements are manufactured on the equipment of the aircraft model laboratory using modern CNC machines. The combination of many years of experience, modern technologies and teamwork allows us to create equipment capable of representing Ukraine on the international stage.
It is on this new toy car model that Mykola VASYLKOV plans to compete at the World Auto Model Sports Championship, which will be held in Tallinn. The upcoming start will be not only another sports test, but also the result of a great joint design and production work of the laboratory team.
