National Dialogue "Forming an Effective IP Policy in Universities: International Experience and Practical Solutions for Ukraine"

Who owns the rights to research results created at the university? How to balance the interests of the researcher, the university, and business?

The answers to these questions are laid down in an effective university IP policy — one of the key documents for managing intellectual property, commercializing research results, and developing cooperation between science and business.

On July 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the Ukrainian Technology Transfer Alliance, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation, will hold a NATIONAL DIALOGUE “Forming an Effective IP Policy in Universities: International Experience and Practical Solutions for Ukraine.”

The event will review international experience and Ukrainian practices in developing IP policies, discuss approaches to distributing rights to the results of intellectual activity, mechanisms for commercializing university developments, and the role of IP policy in shaping a modern innovation ecosystem of a higher education institution.

Olga Kronda — Head of the Innovation Development Department of the State Organization "Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations";
