A monitoring visit of the Representative Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights in the Kharkiv region took place at Kharkiv Institute of Applied Sciences.
The focus is on the work of the educational centers “Donbas-Ukraine” and “Crimea-Ukraine”. They help applicants from temporarily occupied territories to gain simplified access to Ukrainian education. They talked about the key issues: how applicants receive information, how the admission campaign is organized, and what support they have at each stage.
A working meeting was also held between the acting rector of Kharkiv Institute of Applied Sciences Oleksiy Lytvynov and the Representative of the Commissioner. The focus is on equal access to education and proper conditions for learning and living for all participants in the educational process.
The practical aspects of the centers’ work were discussed with the responsible person, Viktoria Burdeyna.
Kharkiv Institute of Applied Sciences continues to systematically support applicants from temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons, creating a safe, accessible, and inclusive educational environment.
Education should be accessible, even when — and especially when — the country is going through its most difficult times.
