Master class by Maksym ZHYDKO

How to work with the human psyche at a time when war is raging not only on the front, but also in the information space?

This is what was discussed at KhAI during a master class by Maksym ZHYDKO, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Psychology of the National Aerospace University "KhAI".

The event took place within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Psychology in the Modern World" and aroused such great interest among students, young scientists and practitioners that the participants asked to publish the full recording of the meeting.

The focus of the conversation was the reality in which Ukraine lives today. Constant stress, information pressure, emotional exhaustion, traumatic experience of war - all this creates new challenges for psychologists.

The master class discussed the following:

- how psychological assistance is changing in the conditions of cognitive wars;

- why it is important for Ukrainian specialists to form their own practical approaches, and not just adapt Western models;

- how approaches to counseling and supporting people in crisis situations are being transformed today;

- what should be the psychological resilience of society in conditions of a long war.

This topic is especially important for KhAI. After all, today's university is not only about technology, aviation or engineering. It is also about people, their endurance, their ability to adapt and support each other in extremely difficult times.

The master class will be useful for both psychology students and those who already work with people and are looking for modern tools for psychological support.
