Recently, the KhAI hosted another meeting of the monthly international scientific and technical seminar “Critical Computer Technologies and Systems” (KryKTechS 2026-212).
The seminar brings together the university, academic and industrial community to discuss current issues of modern information technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, mobile systems and other areas.
This time, the meeting was dedicated to the topic “Methods and technologies of intelligent navigation, positioning and detection of unmanned vehicles and systems”. The event brought together more than 70 participants from Ukraine, Great Britain and Poland.
Among the participants are representatives of leading institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in particular the V. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics, the G. E. Pukhov Institute of Modeling Problems in Energy, the Institute of Applied Control Systems, the Institute of Mathematics, as well as representatives of industrial R&D companies. Three academicians and five corresponding members of the NAS of Ukraine joined the discussion.
University scientists presented their research on behalf of KhAI.
Head of the Department of Aircraft Control Systems (301), Candidate of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher Konstantin DERGACHOV delivered a report “Methodology, Models and Information Technology of Intelligent Resource-Efficient Visual Navigation and Positioning of Autonomous Aviation Platforms”.
A joint report “Intelligent Systems of Acoustic Detection of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: Principles of Construction, Personalization and Deployment” was presented by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Cybersecurity and Intelligent Information Technologies (503) Tetyana NIKITINA and Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of this Department Kyrylo LEYCHENKO.
Research in this area is of particular importance for security in wartime. The scientists of the department are working on them in collaboration with US universities - Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Florida (UF).
At the end, the scientific supervisor of the seminar, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine Vyacheslav KHARCHENKO, spoke about the upcoming scientific events with the participation of Khai and the wide seminar community.
The meeting lasted about three hours and became another opportunity for professional communication, exchange of experience and search for new areas of cooperation.
This year, "Critical Computer Technologies and Systems" turned 25 years old.
Over a quarter of a century, the seminar has become a platform where students and graduate students can communicate with leading scientists, engineers and professors - find partners for joint developments, and the results of fundamental research - find a way to practical technological solutions.
