KhAI Modelers Head to Competition

The team of aircraft modelers of the National Aerospace University "KhAI" is going to compete in the F1N class of aircraft model sports - indoor gliders.

This is the class of models that is well known to many Kharkiv residents: such competitions were repeatedly held in the KhAI arena even before the full-scale war. Today, this direction is rapidly gaining popularity in the world of aircraft model sports.

As the head of the KhAI aircraft model laboratory Oleksiy Igoshyn says, this class attracts both children and adults: "Now the F1N class is becoming very popular. Children are actively involved in it from an early age. And adults get a real thrill - it's relaxation, atmosphere, and communication with friends. It turned out that this is a very interesting class of models. Six months ago, I myself decided to try myself in these competitions and represent the KhAI team."

The team is going to the competition with four participants - three athletes of the older age category and a KhAI student.

The team hopes for a good result, and in the future they dream of returning major aeromodelling starts to Kharkiv — perhaps even holding an international stage of the World Cup in the KhAI arena.

We keep our fingers crossed for our modellers and look forward to their victory!
