On July 14, at the invitation of the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine, Viacheslav Kharchenko, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity and Intellectual Information Technologies (503) and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, took part in the official events celebrating the National Day of France — Bastille Day.
This event took place on the day when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attended a parade in Paris, during which Ukrainian military personnel marched in a formal parade with our national flag for the first time in history.
During the celebrations in Kyiv, the guests were addressed by Gaël Veyssière, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Ukraine. In his speech, he warmly recalled Kharkiv, which he visited a few weeks ago, and expressed sincere gratitude to the Ukrainian people, defenders, and everyone continuing to work for the country's future.
A special part of the program was a performance by the “Cultural Forces of Ukraine” collective. To loud applause from the guests, the military sextet performed “La Marseillaise,” the National Anthem of Ukraine, and the Anthem of the European Union, creating an atmosphere of unity, mutual respect, and support.
During the event, Viacheslav Kharchenko had the opportunity to personally converse with the Ambassador. Gaël Veyssière once again expressed his admiration for the beauty and resilience of Kharkiv.
Participation in this event has opened up new contacts for further international cooperation of our university and the implementation of joint research and educational projects.
