KhAI PROVES THAT UKRAINIAN EDUCATION CAN WIN.
Despite the war, despite the constant shelling of Kharkiv, the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" demonstrated one of the best results in recent years in the international Webometrics ranking (July 2026).
KhAI rose 1380 positions in the world ranking, taking 2858th place among more than 32 thousand universities in the world. Among higher education institutions in Ukraine, the university improved its position from 25th to 12th place, becoming one of the leaders in the country.
The results of the key indicators of the ranking are especially indicative:
- Impact - an improvement of 4252 positions (from 5877 to 1625);
- Openness - an improvement of 2544 positions (from 8941 to 6397);
- Excellence — an improvement of 1569 positions (from 3672 to 2103).
These results mean a significant increase in the international visibility of the university, the openness of scientific results and academic impact.
Behind each digit — thousands of hours of work of scientists, teachers, staff and students. This is the development of digital infrastructure, international partnerships, open science, new educational projects and the daily work of the university team even when Kharkiv lives to the sounds of air raid sirens.
KhAI once again proves: the war could not stop Ukrainian science. We are not just preserving the university. We are shaping the future of Ukrainian aviation, space and engineering education.
