The next meeting of the monthly International Scientific and Technical Seminar "Critical Computer Technologies and Systems" was held at the Department of Cybersecurity and Intelligent Information Technologies (503) of KhAI. It was a landmark event, as scientific reports and discussions were held on the very relevant topic of ensuring cybersecurity and functional safety of information and control systems of nuclear power plants.
The reports were delivered by postgraduate graduates of the Department 503 - the leading developer of the Scientific and Production Enterprise "Radius" Artem PANARIN (currently an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) and the technical director of the enterprise Konstantin LEONTIEV (scientific supervisor of the researchers - corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, professor Vyacheslav KHARCHENKO).
Their reports, which complete many years of development and research, were devoted to methods and technologies for developing, evaluating and improving the security of ICS on software platforms, in particular using the principles of diversity and risk-based analysis. The seminar was attended by more than 80 participants - teachers, postgraduates, students, engineers from various universities and enterprises of Ukraine, as well as other countries.
It should be noted that the 20-year cooperation of the KhAI and the Radii Research and Production Enterprise is an example of successful and sustainable innovation activity of our university, when scientific achievements are quickly implemented in a high-tech and responsible industry that is vital for the state.
