International Mobility: KhAI Student Shares Experience of Studying in Italy under the ERASMUS+ Program
The current semester is already coming to an end: some are taking their final exams, some have successfully completed the session and are waiting for the start of their internship, and some are still actively working on their tests.
But for Oleksandr SHYROKYI, a student of group 733L in the specialty "Applied Linguistics", who is studying under the ERASMUS+ academic exchange program, full-time studies at the University of Trento in Italy are still ongoing.
Here is what Oleksandr says about his experience of living and studying abroad: "During this semester, I am studying under the academic mobility program in the city of Trento, located in northern Italy. Participation in the program has been an extremely valuable experience for me both academically and personally: I attend university classes, get acquainted with the peculiarities of the Italian education system, and improve my knowledge of foreign languages in an international environment. Communication with students from different parts of the world is especially interesting, as it gives me the opportunity to better understand other cultures and exchange experiences.
In addition to studying, I had the opportunity to learn about the culture and history of the region. The city of Trento made an incredible impression on me with its beautiful architecture, atmosphere of antiquity, and picturesque views of the Alps. Also unforgettable were trips to other cities in Italy, which helped me to feel the color of the country and its traditions more deeply.
Participation in the mobility program helped me become more independent, improve my communication skills, and gain new academic and cultural experience. Oleksandr is convinced that entering and studying at KhAI is a very successful decision in his life, because it was this choice that influenced the fact that today he is among the best students in Europe at an Italian university: “I am sincerely grateful to the university and the department for the opportunity to join this program and am convinced that this experience will become a solid foundation for my further studies and professional development.”
