KhAI continues to open the way for schoolchildren to science and support young researchers who already represent Ukraine on the international stage today.
A student of Kharkiv Lyceum No. 144, Mykyta DEGRACHEV, worthily represented Ukraine at the prestigious International Invention and Innovation Show INTARG 2026, which took place in Katowice (Poland). Before participating in the international event, he was part of the official delegation of the National Center "Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine".
INTARG is one of the leading international platforms for demonstrating innovative developments and inventions, which annually brings together representatives of science, education, business and youth invention from all over the world.
In 2026, representatives of 38 countries took part in the competition, which indicates a high level of competition and the authority of this scientific forum.
According to the results of the international competition, the young researcher was awarded the Silver Medal in the "Young Inventor" category for the development of "Visual Navigation of UAV's by Key Regions".
The scientific support of the project was carried out by Iryna BYCHKOVA, a senior lecturer at the Department of Aircraft Control Systems. Thanks to the cooperation of the student and the scientific supervisor, the work was distinguished by a high scientific level, innovation and practical value.
It is symbolic that this success became a continuation of the family tradition. Mykyta's parents connected their lives with Kharkiv Aviation Institute, so the interest in science, engineering and the aviation industry in the DEGRACHOV family is being passed on to the new generation.
The silver medal of one of the most prestigious international competitions of inventions and innovations is a significant achievement not only for the author of the project, but also for the Kharkiv region and all of Ukraine. It proves once again that Ukrainian youth has a powerful potential and is able to successfully compete at the global level.
We sincerely congratulate Mykyta DEGRACHOV and his scientific supervisor Iryna BYCHKOVA on their international recognition and wish them new discoveries, bold ideas and future victories!
