The rector of KhAI, Oleksii LYTVYNOV, solemnly presented international certificates to the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international relations, Mikayil GARAYEV, and the dean of the Faculty of Aircraft Engineering, Dmytro KRYTSKI, who successfully completed the international professional training program International Executive Certification Program in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Electronic Warfare (EW) and Counter-UAS Technologies.
The program was held in the Netherlands with the participation of leading European organizations in the field of unmanned technologies and defense innovations. It was implemented with the support of Unmanned Valley, Dutch Drone Delta and NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) - one of the key innovation initiatives of NATO, aimed at the development of dual-purpose technologies and autonomous systems.
The training combined intensive theoretical training and practical classes in modern unmanned technologies. Participants covered issues of design and operation of unmanned aircraft systems, mission planning, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) technologies, electronic warfare (EW), counter-UAS systems, autonomous systems using artificial intelligence, risk management and European regulatory frameworks in the field of UAS.
Particular attention was paid to practical training: flight performance, planning of BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) missions, working with modern means of detecting and neutralizing drones, as well as practicing complex scenarios for the use of autonomous systems.
The total volume of the program was 6 ECTS credits and included academic training, practical classes, case studies, written and practical exams and final certification. Based on the results of the training, the participants successfully passed the final certification and received international certificates.
The knowledge and practical experience gained will be used at KhAI to develop modern educational programs, implement new training courses in unmanned aircraft systems, artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, and Counter-UAS technologies, as well as to further expand the university's international cooperation in the field of defense and dual-use technologies.
