Head of the Department of Cybersecurity and Intelligent Information Technologies (503), Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine Vyacheslav KHARCHENKO took part in the international scientific and technical seminar
"Future Security Transcendents in the Age of AI: H-M Joint Perspectives", which took place on March 24 in Sofia.
The event was organized by the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences at the invitation of the Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Security Zlatogor Minchev.
The seminar was attended by leading researchers and experts from 10 countries of the world - from the USA to Japan, which confirms the high level of international dialogue in the field of security and new technologies.
In his report, Professor Kharchenko focused on the key challenges of cybersecurity of critical industries in the conditions of rapid development:
- artificial intelligence;
- the Internet of Things;
- big data.
Special attention was paid to issues of system resilience — the ability of infrastructure to withstand and quickly recover from cyberattacks and technological failures.
During the event, a new international publication was also presented: “Manual on Cybersecurity, Reliability and Resilience Assurance in the Critical Industries: global and technological challenges and solutions” — the second, expanded edition, prepared by specialists from Department 503 of KhAI together with Polish and American partners.
The official presentation of the book is planned at an international forum in Warsaw.
