On July 10, KhAI students and students of the "Obdarovannyst" lyceum visited the city of Poltava with an excursion program. During the summer, 1st and 2nd year students undergo training practices, so visiting the centers of aviation development was also useful from the point of view of gaining knowledge to improve understanding of the formation of the aviation industry from the 18th century to the present day.
In general, the group visited two locations: the Museum of Heavy Bomber Aviation and the Poltava Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics. Immersion in the historical context and contact with technological discoveries, interesting facts about military events and acquaintance with the names of those who left their mark in history as inventors, record holders, peacekeepers and defenders - this day turned out to be truly eventful. Aircraft of different eras, unique exhibits from the Second World War and artifacts of modern warfare, which is primarily interesting from the point of view of the rapid development of technologies, were especially impressive.
We thank the university administration and personally the rector Oleksii Lytvynov and the administration of the "Obdarovannyst" lyceum for the implementation of the event.
