Admission-2026: how the campaign will change and what KhAI offers
The National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" keeps its finger on the pulse of changes. We are actively participating in discussions with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to make admission in 2026 as convenient and safe as possible, taking into account all the challenges of the time.
Among the key areas currently being worked on by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine:
Support for regions: regional coefficients are planned to be left at the 2025 level. This is important for supporting universities in front-line and de-occupied regions and attracting applicants to them.
Flexible exam format: admissions committees will be able to independently choose the exam format - in person or remotely. The decision will depend on the security situation and the category of the applicant himself.
Remote admission for those on duty or abroad: applicants who are outside of Ukraine or work in front-line zones (police, rescuers and other security services) will be able to take the assessment online.
Remote professional tests: by decision of the university, professional exams, tests and entrance tests for interdisciplinary programs can be conducted remotely. Important: this does not apply to the professional exam, which is taken instead of the EFVV.
Second education on a contract basis: for those who already have a diploma and plan to obtain a new specialty (of the same or higher level) on a contractual basis, the admission mechanism will become more transparent and perfect.
Special attention is paid to postgraduate studies and technical details.
A separate point of discussion was admission to postgraduate studies. The main emphasis is on the possibility of conducting professional exams, tests and presentations of research or creative works remotely for future Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Arts.
The Ministry of Education and Science is also working on technical improvements to the process:
Order in documents: they plan to eliminate all technical discrepancies between the texts of regulatory rules and their appendices.
Privacy protection: video recordings of the assessment of certain categories of applicants, including people with disabilities and special services employees in front-line regions, will not be made public for their safety.
The position of "KhAI" is unchanged: we will do everything to ensure that the admission campaign is professional and comfortable. Our goal is to provide future students with safe and modern conditions for admission in accordance with all the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science.
