On December 23, 2025, another defense of the final theses of the masters of KhAI was held in the shelter of the Zaporizhzhia Machine-Building Design Bureau JSC «IVCHENKO-PROGRESS».
Such conditions — are not a formality, but the daily reality of Ukrainian education during the war: diplomas protect in safe spaces, but knowledge, ideas and professional ambitions — without any restrictions.
Defenses were held in specialties:
142 — Energy engineering (educational program «Gas turbine installations and compressor stations»)
and
134 — Aviation and rocket and space technology (educational program «Aviation engines and power plants»).
All master's theses were performed directly on the basis of ZMKB «IVCHENKO-PROGRESS» and were unanimously protected for the rating of “excellently”.
The examination commission, which included representatives of a leading aircraft engine-building enterprise, highly appreciated the level of training of students of the National Aerospace University «KhAI».
According to the results of the defenses addressed to at. the rector of the university Oleksiy LYTVYNOV received an official letter of thanks from JSC «IVCHENKO-PROGRESS» for the high-quality training of specialists in the field of gas turbine construction.
After the defenses, a joint meeting of the graduation departments of KhAI and representatives of the enterprise took place, during which they discussed the content and further development of educational programs «Gas turbine installations and compressor stations» and «Aviation engines and power plants».
The expressed comments and wishes will become the basis for further improvement of the training of future engineers.
Even in wartime conditions, — KhAI trains specialists who are waiting for the Ukrainian aviation and energy industry.
