Oleksiy KOSYLO, a student of the Faculty of Aircraft Engineering at Kharkiv Institute of Aeronautics, received a prestigious international scholarship as one of the best young athletes of the year in the field of aeromodelling.
This award is awarded by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) - the World Federation of Air Sports, which unites aviation sports, sets the rules of international competitions and supports the development of young talents around the world.
In an interview, Oleksiy shared his story - and it is a story about a path that begins with childhood curiosity and leads to international recognition.
How did it all start?
As a child - from a simple interest: how does a model fly? Over time, curiosity grew into a passion, and then - into a serious business.
What is aeromodelling for him today?
It is a combination of sport and engineering. Accuracy, calculation, aerodynamics and a constant desire to do better are important here.
