The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced a competition for state named scholarships for the best young scientists, established to honor the feat of the Heroes of Ukraine - the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and perpetuate the events of the Revolution of Dignity.
In 2026, 25 scholarships are provided for a period of one year - five in five nominations:
- named after Dmytro Maksymov;
- named after Nazariy Voytovych;
- named after Roman Huryk;
- named after Ustym Golodnyuk;
- named after Yuriy Popravka.
The amount of each scholarship will be two subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons, established at the beginning of 2026. Payments will begin on January 1, 2027.
Young scientists up to 35 years of age with an education not lower than a master's degree, as well as persons up to 40 years of age with a doctorate degree, can participate in the competition.
During the selection, significant scientific results will be taken into account: publications, monographs, reports, intellectual property objects, scientific and methodological developments and other results of scientific activity. An important component is also an active civic position, protection of democratic values, human rights and freedoms, national interests of Ukraine and its European choice.
Documents can be submitted until September 21, 2026 in electronic format through the National Electronic Scientific Information System URIS.
