The fourth day of the KhAI's popular science project “Universe of Knowledge” was a success and packed with activities, bringing together two underground schools in Kharkiv. Today, meetings were held at Lyceum No. 88 for high school students in the Industrial District and Lyceum No. 138 in the Saltivsky District, with a total of nearly 90 students participating in the educational program.
The students saw, studied, and mastered numerous exhibits from previous days: a 3D scanner, VR glasses, flying and programmable drones, a noise meter, personal protective equipment, models of gas turbine engines, parts of blade machines, models of cars, internal and external combustion engines, a robot projector, a stand for controlling the control surfaces of a tailless aircraft, a flight simulator, bionic robots and a humanoid robot with conversational AI, a laboratory model of a CubeSAT satellite, satellite engines, rockets and composite materials, a banknote counter and a currency detector.
The students were particularly interested in the new exhibits: a demonstration of the work of a neural network and computer vision, a model of a smart home, and a presentation by the IT College of the Kharkiv Aviation Institute, where schoolchildren could learn about modern trends in information technology education.
Every day, the “Universe of Knowledge” project shows Kharkiv schoolchildren that science can be lively, interesting, and interactive, and that modern technologies are accessible for practical mastery today.
