12 og decembre would have been the 79th anniversary of the birth of Volodymyr Stanislavovich KRYVTSOV (1946-2017) - the rector of Kharkiv Aviation Institute from 1998 to 2017, an outstanding scientist and leader, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology, doctor, professor, a person who dedicated his life to the development of aviation and space industries in Ukraine.
It was under his leadership that the Kharkiv Aviation Institute acquired the high status of the National Aerospace University.
Today, the leadership of Kharkiv Aviation Institute, representatives of the faculties, teachers and employees honored the memory of Volodymyr Stanislavovich by laying flowers at the memorial plaque on the Main Building. A graduate of the Aircraft Engineering Faculty in 1971 looks at us from the bas-relief. He looks at his native university, which is courageously going through the trials of the fourth year of the Great War.
It hurts to think that his native, once picturesque and ancient Vovchansk no longer exists... But the living memory is in the causes he served and initiated. This is the legendary Khai Day, the "Icarus" professional skill competition, and the revived Khai Orchestra, which today does not just play, but is preparing to donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, bringing our Victory closer.
Laying flowers is a symbol of the unity of generations, our gratitude and deep respect for the person, a true Patriot of Khai.
