The tour in Ivano-Frankivsk ended the 2025–2026 season of the All-Ukrainian Youth Basketball League (AUYBL) for the girls' team "Kharkiv Region National Team - KhAI-2009".
Under the leadership of coach Oleg CHEK, these competitions were the last in youth basketball for players born in 2009. Ahead is a new stage: adulthood, entering universities and fighting for a place in adult teams.
This time, the girls did not manage to make it to the "Final Four" - according to the results of the championship, the team took 7th place. The result in several matches was affected by the limited rotation of experienced players, especially in the second half of the games. At the same time, the younger basketball players gained important playing experience and are ready to continue the fight next season in the YUBL category (born in 2010).
The best players of the “Kharkiv Region National Team – KhAI-2009” team:
- Elizaveta CHOPENKO (born in 2009) — 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, RE — 15.4
- Elizaveta GALIY (born in 2011) — 12.5 points, 3.8 assists, RE — 10.6
- Sofia KRYVODUB (born in 2010) — 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, RE — 6.8
- Varvara KOLESNYK (born in 2010) — 3.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, RE — 7.9
The girls, together with their parents, are sincerely grateful to the acting to the rector of KhAI Oleksii LYTVYNOV, the chairman of the board of the NGO "KhFB" Serhiy CHEBYSHEV, as well as the president of the basketball club "KhAI" Eleonora CHEK for their support, development of the team and faith in the girls.

The season for the girls born in 2009 is over.
But their path is just beginning.
And one of the team leaders, Elizaveta CHOPENKO, dreams of continuing her story as a student of KhAI.
