The Department of Ecology and Technogenic Safety (106) of KhAI continues to support environmental initiatives and popularize nature research among student youth.
This year, representatives of the department are again participating in the All-Ukrainian Bioblitz 2026 — a large-scale project to observe and study the biodiversity of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the All-Ukrainian Bioblitz is being held only for the second time, and the Department of Ecology and Technogenic Safety of KhAI is actively participating in the project for the second year.
During this time, the project has united a wide community of researchers, environmentalists, teachers, students, and all those who are interested in nature conservation.
The main feature of Bioblitz is that EVERYONE CAN JOIN IT.
To participate, it is enough to take a picture of a plant, animal, mushroom, or other object of wildlife and upload the photo to the iNaturalist platform. Artificial intelligence tools will help determine the species, and experienced experts will check and confirm the result.
The Bioblitz will last from June 1 to 30, 2026.
During this time, students and teachers of the Department of Ecology and Technogenic Safety will conduct their own observations and replenish the database on the biodiversity of Ukraine.
The most interesting thing is ahead. After the completion of the project, KhAI will definitely present a selection of the best photos and observations made by students and teachers of the department during their participation in the competition.
