On May 30, the legendary KhAI Orchestra will celebrate 25 years since its restoration!
It was on these days that a quarter of a century ago, conductor and mentor Andriy Tverdy revived the KhAI Orchestra - a collective that later became one of the musical symbols of the university.
Over the years, the orchestra has come a long way: concerts and festivals, university holidays and city events, performances for the defenders of Ukraine, volunteer initiatives and charity gatherings. And all this time, the collective has remained a special part of the KhAI atmosphere - lively, creative and real.
Today, the KhAI Orchestra is headed by Artem SLOBODYANIUK, and the musicians continue to create the history of the collective in the realities of wartime Kharkiv.
On the eve of the anniversary, on May 26, the KhAI Orchestra appeared on the air of the KhAI radio station "Nakipilo".
The musicians talked with host Alika Pikhtereva about the creation of the orchestra, the 25th anniversary, volunteer activities, the new ensemble, and how the creative team lives and develops in the front-line city today.
