This year marks the 25th anniversary of the International Scientific and Technical Seminar “Critical Computer Technologies and Systems” (CriCTehS), which was founded at the Department of Cybersecurity and Intelligent Information Technologies (503) of KhAI.
From the very beginning, the seminar was conceived as a platform for uniting the scientific community and industry representatives around topical issues of the development of critical computer technologies, security systems and reliable information solutions. Over time, it has turned into an all-Ukrainian and international platform that brings together scientists, engineers, teachers, students, postgraduates and experts every month to exchange experience and discuss the latest research and practical developments.
Over the 25 years of operation, 211 meetings have been held, during which almost 700 reports were presented. The seminar participants were representatives of 28 universities, 8 academic institutes and over 30 industrial enterprises from Ukraine, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Greece, Estonia, Israel, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Rwanda, Slovakia, USA, Finland, Germany and Sweden. Today the seminar is also held with the support of the Department of Informatics of the NAS of Ukraine.
The scientific director and founder of CriCTehS is the head of department 503, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Vyacheslav KHARCHENKO.
The seminar is of particular importance for young researchers. It was here that hundreds of students, postgraduates and doctoral candidates took their first steps in science, gained experience in professional discussions and presenting their own research results.
Despite the challenges of wartime, the seminar continues to actively develop and gather a wide international audience. Thanks to this, Khai remains one of the leading research centers in the field of critical information technologies, cybersecurity and warrantable artificial intelligence.
