General characteristics of the scientific school

The Oleg Fedorovich Scientific School is a well-established scientific direction in the field of information technologies, founded on the extensive research and pedagogical activity of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor O. Fedorovich. The activities of the scientific school are aimed at conducting fundamental and applied research into current problems of management, digital transformation, and logistics in high-tech production to ensure the state's defense capability.

Founder of the scientific school

Oleg Yevhenovych Fedorovich (born June 27, 1947) is an outstanding scientist in the field of information technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences (1980), Professor (1981), Academician of the Higher School of Ukraine (2019), laureate of the State Prize in the field of science and technology (military security of the state) (2018), Acting Head of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technologies of the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute".

The main scientific areas of the school are:

1. Theory and methodology of logistics management and efficiency of high-tech production.

2. Theory and methodology of managing distributed information processing systems based on artificial intelligence.

3. Methodology for digitalization of industrial facilities.

Scientific achievements and results of activities

Under the scientific supervision of O. Fedorovich, 6 doctoral dissertations have been defended. More than 30 candidate dissertations in the field of information technologies have been defended within the scientific school. Representatives of the scientific school take an active part in scientific and scientific-methodological activities at the international, national, and regional levels.

Considerable attention is paid to modern security challenges, in particular, the impact of negative and destructive factors on production, planning projects for the creation of high-tech products in the conditions of the country's special state. Representatives of the scientific school take an active part in the work of editorial boards of leading scientific periodicals, specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations, and expert commissions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
