Scientific Club of the Department of Law

A student scientific club is always more than just an additional activity after classes.

It is a space where ideas are born, where confidence is formed, where students learn to present, debate, argue, and listen to others.

Such a space is the club of the Department of Law at the National Aerospace University "KhAI," where a meeting on "Problems of Legal Regulation of Civil Relations" recently took place.

With a report on "Intellectual Property in the Field of Cyber Defense: Legal Risks and Safeguards," the student of group 746 and head of the club, Yelyzaveta NIKITINA, took the floor.

In her presentation, she emphasized that intellectual property in cyber defense is not just about copyrights or patents. It encompasses technologies, software solutions, databases, and developments on which the state’s security depends today. Essentially, it is about protecting ideas and digital tools that serve the country’s defense.

Yelyzaveta examined the legal protection of intellectual property rights of military personnel concerning software and databases in the field of military technologies at the national level and analyzed international legal mechanisms for protecting such rights.

This is particularly important under martial law conditions.

When technologies are developed rapidly, and cyber defense becomes a daily frontline.

The discussion was actively joined by club members: Yelyzaveta DOROSH, Olena SOLOVEY, Zlata DYACHENKO, and other future lawyers. The scientific support and moderation of the event were provided by the club supervisor, Associate Professor Alla HORDEYUK.

The next step: preparing abstracts for participation in a scientific-practical conference. We wish our students success in their research endeavors!
