For the purpose of moral and material encouragement of students in vocational, professional pre-higher, and higher education who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in studies, research, and scientific work, up to 500 named Ivan Ohienko Scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are awarded annually, including:
- up to 125 scholarships – to students of vocational education;
- up to 125 scholarships – to students of professional pre-higher education;
- up to 250 scholarships – to students of higher education.
The scholarship may be awarded to individuals studying in vocational, professional pre-higher, or higher education institutions on a full-time basis, funded from the state or local budget.
The amount of a single scholarship is:
- for vocational education students – UAH 7,400 per month;
- for professional pre-higher education students – UAH 7,400 per month;
- for higher education students – UAH 9,700 per month.
