Brief annotation:
Basic skills acquired by students during their training are simulation of social, economic and environmental processes, analysis and systematization of data, construction of information processing algorithms.
Training disciplines, along with the basic mathematical and economic subjects are information and communication technology, design and development of information systems, information processing methods and knowledge, use of systems analysis and information management.
The students will become familiar with both the latest scientific achievements in the field of computer science, and the latest software programs (UML, ORACLE, PROTEGE, C #, Java, ERWin). The emphasis is on collaboration and systemic thinking.The department was founded in 1968. Initially, the department was created in Kharkov Aviation Institute as a training center for the intellectual elite in the field of aerospace technology to achieve a strategic priority in space exploration. Staff and graduates of the Department defended 14 doctoral and 30 master's theses in total.
Professors of the department take part in research internships in Germany, South Korea and the United States. We work with the leading aerospace and power engineering companies in Ukraine and Russia, as well as companies and research centers in CIS countries on grants and or contract basis, for example, Science and Technology Center in Ukraine, Nuovo Pignone SpA (GE Power Systems. Oil and Gas) (Florence, Italy), Center for Advanced Systems Development of the Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co., Ltd. (Taejon, Republic of Korea); China Aviation Industry Corporation (Zhuzhou, China) and others.
