The internal quality assurance system of education of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” is a set of interrelated internal processes aimed at organizing the educational process at the higher education institution in accordance with higher education standards, ensuring that individuals obtain high-quality higher education and contributing to the creation of new knowledge.
The internal quality assurance system of educational activities and higher education of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” has been developed in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” dated July 1, 2014, No. 1556-VII (as amended), and taking into account the requirements of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
The internal quality assurance system of educational activities and higher education of the University is aimed at the following:
- providing high-quality educational services that comply with current legislative and regulatory documents in the field of higher education, as well as meet modern requirements and needs of the national and international labor markets;
- orienting University staff toward improving the quality of educational services and supporting the effective functioning of the system.
The internal quality assurance system of educational activities and higher education of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” consists of the following components:
1) Definition of principles and procedures for ensuring the quality of higher education:
- Development Strategy of KhAI;
- Regulations “Planning and Conducting Internal Audits”;
- Regulations “On Student Self-Government”;
- Regulations “On Ensuring Students’ Right to Choose Academic Disciplines”;
- Code of Ethical Conduct;
- Regulations “On the Academic Integrity Commission”;
- Regulations “On Academic Integrity”;
- Regulations “On Ensuring Postgraduate Students’ Right to Choose Academic Disciplines and the Procedure for Forming an Individual Study Plan of a Postgraduate Student”;
- Code of Academic Integrity;
- Regulations “On the Academic Integrity Support Group”;
- Regulations “On the Procedure for Checking Academic and Scientific Texts for Originality”.
2) Monitoring and periodic review of educational programs;
3) Annual evaluation of higher education students, academic and pedagogical staff of the higher education institution and regular publication of the results of such evaluations on the official website of the higher education institution, on information boards, and in any other way;
4) Ensuring professional development of pedagogical, scientific, and academic staff:
- Regulations “Rating Evaluation of the Activities of Academic Staff, Departments, and Faculties”;
- Regulations “On the Professional Excellence Competition “Ikary of KhAI”.
5) Ensuring the availability of the necessary resources for organizing the educational process, including students’ independent work, for each educational program;
6) Ensuring the availability of information systems for effective management of the educational process;
7) Ensuring public access to information about educational programs, higher education degrees, and qualifications;
8) Ensuring compliance with academic integrity by employees of higher education institutions and higher education students, including the creation and ensuring the functioning of an effective system for preventing and detecting academic plagiarism:

9) Other procedures and measures:

The internal quality assurance system of educational activities and higher education of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” is regulated by the Regulations “On the Quality Assurance System of Educational Activities and Higher Education” and functions within the framework of the overall quality management system of the University, which is regulated by the Regulations “On the Quality Management System”.
The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs is responsible for the implementation and compliance with the requirements of the internal quality assurance system of educational activities and higher education at the University.
