Huawei announces a competitive selection for participation in the global program “Seeds for the Future 2021”. The company has been implementing this project since 2008, and it started in Ukraine in 2016. Top students from universities around the world have the opportunity to learn about trends in ICT, 4G and 5G technologies, the Internet of Things, cloud solutions, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity from leading experts in information and communication technologies.
In addition to intensive training with certification, participants will have ample opportunities for team collaboration with students from different countries and will also work on a team project.
In 2021, the “Seeds for the Future” program is conducted online. The company offers 50 Ukrainian students the opportunity to participate.
Application deadline: June 30, 2021
Program dates in Ukraine: July 19–26, 2021
- The most active and dedicated participants will receive prizes, a course completion certificate, and the opportunity for a paid internship at Huawei Ukraine.
- Program participants will join the global Global Alumni Connections community, which brings together graduates of previous years from various countries.
Who can participate in the selection:
- Bachelor students who completed their second year in 2021;
- Master’s students;
- Graduates who received their diploma in 2021.
Specializations for students and graduates of 2021:
- Technical (STEM) fields: telecommunications, radio physics, artificial intelligence, IT, cloud computing, cybersecurity, energy (thermal, solar).
- Non-technical fields with high academic performance and motivation to work in ICT.

Candidates meeting the criteria will have an individual online interview in Ukrainian and English.
Program course topics – “Seeds for the Future 2021”:
Mandatory courses:
- Live-streamed lectures from Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen and other top global experts.
- Courses on the iLearningX platform:
- 5G (basic level): introduction to 5G;
- Cloud computing (basic level): development and core concepts;
- Artificial intelligence (basic level).
Optional courses (participants choose based on interests):
- ICT;
- Leadership;
- Business;
- Modern and traditional China.
All online courses will be conducted in English.
Certificate and prize requirements:
- Completion of all mandatory online courses;
- Active participation in the learning process;
- Successful completion of mandatory course exams (minimum 60/100 points).
Eligibility for internship at Huawei Ukraine:
- Completion of all mandatory online courses;
- Active participation;
- Successful exam completion (minimum 80/100 points);
- Successful interview in one of Huawei Ukraine departments.
Selection criteria:
- High academic results (83–100 points in profile subjects);
- English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher;
- Project experience and participation in professional competitions;
- Interest in future employment in ICT.
