Open information and computer-integrated technologies form the basis of quality and efficiency in production, science, and the educational process.
At the CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM Educational-Scientific-Industrial Center of the National Aerospace University “KhAI,” a methodology for designing aviation equipment using CATIA, SIEMENS NX, NASTRAN NX, ANSYS, and KOMPAS systems has been developed.
The center implements the concept of preparing students, industry specialists, and researchers for work in computer-integrated production environments.
Student training in open information and computer-integrated systems begins in the first years with the study of basic and intermediate CAD/CAM systems, including KOMPAS, and continues in the senior years with mastering CATIA, SIEMENS NX, NASTRAN NX, and ANSYS systems.
Skills in these systems are reinforced through coursework and diploma projects. Classes are conducted by experienced instructors and specialists, ensuring effective mastery of computer modeling, analysis, production preparation, and aviation equipment creation management methodologies.
Using computer-integrated systems CAD/CAM/CAE CATIA and SIEMENS NX, students, faculty, and staff perform design and modeling tasks for various aircraft and their components, design technological tooling, create CNC machine control programs, and analyze the stress-strain state of structural elements using NASTRAN NX and ANSYS.
The local information-computing networks of the Educational-Scientific-Industrial Center are connected with the local networks of the university departments. Access to the global Internet ensures integration of the center with leading aviation, educational, and research centers in Ukraine and worldwide, allowing for prompt information exchange.
The center’s specialists conduct scientific research on methodologies for integrated design, engineering analysis, and production preparation of aviation equipment using computer systems.
Educational-methodical, scientific, and technical documentation is created in multiple languages and is provided both in paper form using printers and plotters from A4 to A0 formats and in electronic form on various media.
International scientific-methodical conferences are held at the center, and the KhAI collection of scientific papers “Open Information and Computer-Integrated Technologies” is published.
