The Department of International Relations was established as a structural unit of the university to organize and develop international relations in the fields of education and science.
The mission of the department is to provide organizational, technical, informational, and methodological support for the University’s international activities, develop cooperation with international organizations and educational institutions, improve the educational process, and enhance the quality of training through the creative use of international experience.
Main Areas of Activity
Identification of new partners among foreign universities, foundations, and institutions, drafting and managing international agreements, and overseeing international educational projects.
Promotion of the University abroad and management of internet marketing.
Organization of recruitment for international students.
Providing information and consultation support during the recruitment of international students.
Coordination of invitations for foreign citizens to study at the University.
Assistance with the registration of international students at the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
Recognition of foreign educational documents.
Hosting foreign delegations and organizing internships.

Establishing and developing effective mutually beneficial partnerships with leading educational and scientific institutions worldwide, and preparing collaborative programs in science, education, and culture.
Expanding the export of educational services and increasing enrollment of international students.
Participation in developing the University’s international strategy and integrating KhAI into the global educational and research space.
Participation in national and international university rankings.
Promoting the KhAI brand abroad.
Functions of the Department
Participation in drafting agreements, work programs, and projects with foreign partners and monitoring their implementation.
Organization of academic mobility, professional development, and scientific internships abroad for students, graduate students, and staff.
Coordination of KhAI participation in international academic mobility programs and Erasmus+ cooperation projects.
Implementation of “double degree” programs.
Support for KhAI participation in national and international rankings.
Recognition of the University internationally.
Hosting foreign delegations at KhAI.
Preparation of agreements and work programs for international cooperation with foreign universities and research institutions.
Recruitment and Support of International Students
Organizing advertising campaigns and promotional events abroad and in Ukraine.
Participation of KhAI specialists in exhibitions, conferences, and other events to attract international students.
Conducting online conferences and informational consultations to engage foreign students.
Distribution of information on University programs, admission requirements, accommodation, and infrastructure.
Collaboration with companies assisting in international student recruitment.
Issuance of invitations for foreign students.
Welcoming international students to Ukraine and assisting them in obtaining temporary residence permits.
Recognition and legalization (apostille) of foreign educational documents.
Preliminary verification of documents and coordination of study programs with prospective students and faculties.
Review and development of updated educational programs for international students.
International Events and Academic Mobility
Organization of international scientific-practical conferences, symposiums, seminars, and exhibitions at the University.
Arranging foreign trips for training, internships, and experience exchange for faculty, graduate students, and students.
Inviting highly qualified foreign specialists for lectures, consultations, joint research, and methodological support.
Management of invitations, registration, and hosting of foreign experts and delegations.
Reporting and Coordination
Preparation of reports on the University’s international activities.
Interaction with government agencies, public organizations, and private entities regarding international cooperation and the presence of foreign students.
Developing proposals to define priority areas of international activity.
Preparation and analysis of documents regulating international activities (regulations, orders, methodological guidelines), including evaluation of foreign trips.
Ensuring coordination among University departments for international cooperation, including:
Analysis, summarization, and dissemination of international activity information.
Coordination of departmental participation in international programs and projects.
Methodological support for departments in developing curricula, training specialists for foreign countries, and organizing international events.
