The Department of Internal Audit is an independent structural unit of the National Aerospace University.
The main purpose of the Department is to ensure the effectiveness of the University’s educational and research activities, protect its lawful property interests, improve the educational process, the system of accounting and taxation, promote operational efficiency, strengthen scientific and financial standing, enhance the efficiency of educational and research resources, and reinforce the material and technical base of the University and its separate structural divisions.
The object of internal audit is the activity of the University, its separate structural units, and the measures taken by the University administration to ensure the effective functioning of the internal control system.
The main tasks of the Department include:
- providing the Rector with objective and independent conclusions and recommendations regarding the functioning and improvement of the internal control system;
- improving the management system, analyzing the performance of functions and tasks in accordance with legal and organizational-administrative documents of the University;
- preparing proposals for optimizing management processes;
- preventing instances of illegal, inefficient, and ineffective use of budget funds;
- conducting internal audit and control of the University’s activities related to the organization of work, fulfillment of assigned tasks and functions, and compliance with current legislation.
