Department of Foreign Languages
The Department of Foreign Languages was established simultaneously with the founding of the Kharkiv Aviation Institute in 1930.

Mission: To organize general and professional training of highly qualified specialists capable of using foreign languages in professional and business communication contexts.

Academic Programs and Language Training
The language courses are delivered through specialized cycles for English, German, and French. To ensure effective language acquisition, students start their studies according to their current language proficiency level (A1 to B2) based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

Business Foreign Language
These courses use original methodologies from Oxford, Cambridge, Pearson, as well as modern teaching materials developed by the department’s specialists.

Special Activities:

Speaking Club: Provides students with opportunities to practice speaking with native speakers and international participants.
Language support is offered for student and postgraduate research, faculty research, and preparation for academic exchange programs with universities in Germany, Italy, and China.

Faculty Development
The department’s instructors continuously improve their qualifications by attending training and professional development programs at foreign universities.
