Under conditions of democratization and integration of Ukraine, along with the reform of the educational sphere, a new concept of youth upbringing is taking shape.

The core of the entire upbringing system in Ukraine is an idea that plays the role of a unifying, consolidating factor in social development, aimed at forming a person's life stance and fostering their development as an individual and as a citizen of their state.

Upbringing consists in shaping a young person as a citizen of Ukraine regardless of their ethnicity. At the same time, under global integration and Ukraine's entry into the European space, the upbringing process must ensure youth engagement with global culture and universal values and norms, fostering tolerance toward different perspectives and an understanding of cultural, daily life, and custom differences between people, as well as variations in beliefs and faiths across nations, ethnic, religious, and other groups.

The goal of upbringing is to shape a harmoniously developed, highly educated, socially active individual endowed with deep civic responsibility, high spiritual qualities, and family and patriotic feelings, who is a bearer of the best achievements of national and world culture, capable of self-development and self-improvement.

Forming the intelligentsia, contributing to the enrichment and renewal of the nation's intellectual gene pool, and nurturing the spiritual elite are tasks facing the academic and teaching staff on equal standing with preparing highly qualified specialists.

Upbringing work at National Aerospace University "KhAI" is carried out on principles of democracy, utilizing the educational potential of student self-government. It aims to ensure the harmonious, holistic development of an individual capable of self-education, self-development, independent thinking, social choice, and life activities based on cooperation between organizers of the upbringing process, parents, and civic organizations.
