The main area of activity of the department is the improvement of the educational process at the University, which is aimed at ensuring the quality of the educational process and the effective functioning of the University's quality management system.
The main tasks of the department are implemented through the full and effective execution of all elements of the educational and organizational process with the extensive use of modern information technologies:
1. Main tasks of the licensing and accreditation group:
- licensing procedure – initiation (expansion) of educational activities at the corresponding higher education level or under an educational program that involves awarding professional qualifications for professions subject to additional regulation at the corresponding higher education level at the University;
- accreditation procedure of educational programs – organization and coordination of activities regarding the accreditation of educational programs under which higher education applicants are trained at the University;
- quality control – monitoring and internal audit of educational programs as a tool for quality assurance in higher education at the University;
- information support – preparation of methodical, informational, and analytical materials on licensing and accreditation matters.
2. Main tasks of the analytics group:
- conducting regular monitoring of academic performance indicators of higher education applicants, examination session results, and qualification paper defenses;
- implementation of analytical tools for collecting and processing information on educational process outcomes;
- development of analytical reports and statistical materials for internal use, strategic decision-making, and reporting to state authorities;
- creation of systems for monitoring and analyzing education quality using modern information technologies;
- coordination of interaction among faculties, departments, and other structural units of the University regarding the implementation of the educational process and strategic goals;
- organization and support of competitive selection procedures for vacant academic staff positions;
- formulation of proposals for a balanced distribution of workload among academic staff based on data regarding the educational process, staffing, and University needs;
- interaction with administrative and financial departments of the University regarding staff schedule approval and making adjustments when necessary;
3. Main tasks of the educational and methodical support group:
- development of methodical guidelines and teaching load calculation methodologies in accordance with effective regulatory acts, higher education standards, and recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
- development of methodical guidelines for creating and updating educational-methodical complexes and course syllabi;
- organization and coordination of department and faculty activities to provide disciplines with educational-methodical literature, as well as organizing peer reviews of prepared educational literature prior to publication;
- coordination of the development and implementation of electronic learning materials and platforms to support the educational process;
- providing recommendations on optimizing curriculum structures, discipline content, and assessment forms;
- organizing the elective course selection process for students according to curriculum templates;
- ensuring group coordination with sector scientific-methodical committees of the University, including planning joint events, working meetings, and discussions;
- development and approval of educational process schedules for learners across all study levels and modes, accounting for educational program requirements and higher education standards;
- development of class, consultation, and examination schedules for students of all levels and modes of study, taking into account instructor workloads and the availability of classrooms and equipment.
The department performs the following functions by area of activity:
1. Functions of the licensing and accreditation group:
- organization and coordination of licensing procedures;
- organization and coordination of educational program accreditation procedures;
- monitoring and internal auditing of educational programs in accordance with current Ukrainian legislation and University regulations;
- development and preparation of methodical, informational, and analytical materials on licensing and accreditation matters and conveying them to responsible persons in dean's offices, departments, and structural units.
2. Functions of the analytics group:
- development and support of the Epos web application – implementing new features, optimizing performance, and fixing bugs; building databases, integrating with services, as well as ensuring security and stability; changing and modifying existing software modules and code refactoring;
- development, analysis, and optimization of document templates for curricula, semester plans, and teaching assignments for their further implementation in the University's educational workflow; automation of curriculum, semester plan, and teaching assignment development across all fields of study;
- software support and testing of existing modules, development of new software modules and features, modification of existing software modules, and code refactoring of the Pilot automated system;
- analytical activities regarding the implementation of electronic educational documentation in the University process; generating student performance rankings for other structural units; developing and archiving electronic forms of regulatory documents;
- collection and processing of statistical data, generating reports upon request from management and other departments.
3. Functions of the educational and methodical support group:
- organization and coordination of department and faculty activities to provide disciplines with educational-methodical literature, organizing peer reviews of educational materials prepared for publication;
- preparation of reports on the volume of educational and methodical literature published by University faculty;
- development of educational process schedules for the University;
- checking curricula compliance against templates approved by sector scientific-methodical committees of the University;
- record-keeping, storage, and archiving of curricula and current academic year semester plans using computers, as well as generating and issuing teaching assignments to departments;
- organization and coordination of University department activities regarding the development and alignment of course syllabi, as well as coordinating student learning under individual study plans;
- preparation of class, consultation, and examination schedules for students across all levels and modes of study;
- publishing class, consultation, and examination schedules for faculty and students on the University website;
- advising faculty and students on using the class schedule on the University website.
