The Department of Mathematical Modeling and Artificial Intelligence was founded in 1968 as a center for training the intellectual elite in the field of aerospace technology to ensure strategic priority in space exploration. Today, the department trains bachelors and masters in the specialty "F3 Computer Science", and its graduates are successfully employed by leading global companies. Every year, the department organizes an all-Ukrainian student olympiad in the discipline "Informatics" and the international scientific-practical conference of IT professionals and computer systems analysts "ProfIT Conference". Students regularly participate in and win scientific development competitions, IT contests, olympiads, and hackathons. The teaching staff includes 3 Doctors of Sciences. The department's scientific achievements possess world-class novelty and are widely recognized throughout the global scientific community.
