The Verkhovna Rada, with the aim of supporting the development of domestic science and technology, providing targeted support to young scientists, and fostering additional and/or applied scientific research in Ukraine, including scientific-technical (experimental) developments in priority areas of science and technology in accordance with the law,
annually awards up to 50 Borys Paton Scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, including up to five scholarships for scientific (scientific-technical) works containing information classified as a state secret.
The scholarship is paid regardless of the recipient’s salary, additional payments, bonuses, or other allowances.
