The Verkhovna Rada in order to support the development of domestic science and technology, targeted support for young scientists, the creation of additional and/or applied scientific research in Ukraine, in particular scientific and technical (experimental) developments in priority areas of science and technology development in accordance with the laws.
Up to 50 Scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine named after Boris Paton are awarded annually, including up to five scholarships for scientific (scientific and technical) works that contain information that constitutes a state secret.
The Scholarship is paid regardless of the payment of the scholarship holder's official salary, additional payments, allowances, etc.
Regulations "On the Scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine named after Boris Paton" (Appendix 6)
The submission of documents for the Boris Paton Scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for young scientists for 2027 has begun.
Documents can be submitted by:
- young scientists up to 35 years old (with higher education not lower than a master's degree);
- scientists up to 40 years old who hold a Doctor of Sciences degree;
- researchers working on significant fundamental or applied studies and planning to complete the scholarship work within a year.
Documents are accepted until April 30, 2026, inclusive.
