The goal of the Aviation Modeling Club is to enhance students’ general technical skills, foster a lasting interest in science and technology, identify motivations for career self-determination based on personal qualities and abilities, cultivate diligence and persistence in achieving goals, develop character, and unlock creative potential.
Theoretical material is presented through short lectures, discussions, and debates. Topics are reinforced during practical sessions, training, and by analyzing flight results. Considering the varying levels of students’ general education, individualized instruction is widely applied. The final stage of practical work involves mastering the launch and adjustment of models and developing skills to operate models in different weather conditions.
During training, students:
Learn to work with wood, plastic, and foam as construction materials for their future aircraft
Gain experience using various tools, including carpentry and metalworking tools
Practice building aircraft models, from simple schematic and foam models to radio-controlled scale models
Become skilled pilots of their own airplanes and gliders
Participate in various aviation modeling competitions
Classes are free of charge
