Currently, over 100 students are interested in the Art-Hub project, with 70 of them already actively participating in developmental group sessions.
Over three years of work with students by the psychological service, through statistical data processing methods, the psychologist concluded that art therapy proved to be the most productive method for working with students of the technical university KhAI.
Among the students, there are also those who do not have a hobby, or have one but lack the opportunity to develop it, as well as those who lack friends; a large number of such requests were received by the psychologist O. Ye. Odokiienko.
Therefore, possessing both a psychological and theatrical education, experience in these fields, and ready-made work programs, the Art-Hub project plan was developed in coordination with the department head O. M. Prokopenko:
- Coworking between current students and prospective applicants (inviting prospective students to courses and masterclasses).
- Transforming lectures into informal communication between students and the psychologist:
- psychodrama (through theatrical performance, students act out traumatic life situations),
- fairy-tale therapy (writing a collective fairy-tale script and joint staging of a play),
- dance therapy (intuitive awareness of one's body).
- Masterclasses from professionals in painting, theatrical arts, vocals, and other areas related to creative leisure for students on the KhAI campus.
- Involving interested faculty members in joint meetings with students and prospective applicants.
- Video-conferencing for students and prospective applicants with leading organizations in Ukraine and far beyond.
- Students have the opportunity to spend time not in dorm rooms, nightclubs, or computer games, but on the KhAI campus in the Art-Hub.
- Cinema club (film lectures).
