All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads

All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads are competitions in which students creatively apply the knowledge, skills, and abilities they have acquired, as well as demonstrate their professional training as future specialists.

The Olympiads are held annually with the aim of:

- improving the quality of specialist training;

- systematically enhancing the educational process and stimulating students’ learning and cognitive activities.

The main objectives of the Olympiads are:

- identifying and developing gifted students and supporting the realization of their creative abilities;

- stimulating the creative work of students, teaching, and academic staff;

- forming a talent pool for research, industrial, administrative, and entrepreneurial activities;

- selecting students for participation in international Olympiads.

An Olympiad in an academic discipline is a creative competition in the disciplines of the humanities, social-economic, and natural-technical training cycles for students who are currently studying or have studied the corresponding discipline in the previous year.

An Olympiad in a field or specialty is a creative competition in the professional and practical training of senior students according to the fields and specialties in which specialists are trained at higher education institutions at the respective educational and qualification levels.

According to Order No. 1580 of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 17.12.2019 “On Conducting the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the 2019/2020 Academic Year”, the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” (KhAI) was designated as a base higher education institution for conducting the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads in the following academic disciplines:

- Informatics;

- Theory of Machines and Mechanisms;

- Descriptive Geometry and Geometric Modeling on Computers.

According to the same order, KhAI was also designated as the base institution for conducting the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads in the following specialties:

- Aviation and Rocket-Space Engineering;

- Avionics;

- Air Transport.
