The National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” provides public information in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information”, the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On Ensuring Access to Public Information by Executive Authorities” and the Regulations on Ensuring Access to Public Information.
According to the law, public information is any information that has been obtained or created in the course of performing the powers and duties of authorities as stipulated by current legislation, documented in any form and on any media, or which is in the possession of authorities or other holders of public information.
The provision of public information is carried out in response to an information request.
A request for information may be submitted by an individual in any form. The following information must be provided:
- The requester’s full name, postal address or email address, and telephone number;
- A description of the information the requester wishes to obtain (type, title, details, or content of the document requested);
- Signature and date.
To simplify the procedure for submitting written information requests, an individual may also submit a request by filling out the appropriate information request forms.

At the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”, by Rector’s Order No. 367 dated September 12, 2024 the Category I Legal Counsel Andrenko O.I. was appointed as the responsible person for public information requests.
According to paragraph 2 of part 1 and part 3 of Article 13 of the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information” the University, as a legal entity funded from the State Budget, is the administrator only of information related to the use of its budgetary funds.
Requests for access to personal data (for example, regarding scholarship amounts or the number of months in the academic year) must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of Article 18 of the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”, including specifying the details of documents proving the requester’s identity.
Decisions, actions, or inaction of the staff of the National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” regarding access to public information may be appealed to the Rector of the University, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, or a court, in accordance with Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information.”
