174 Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1392 dated December 16, 2022, the specialty 151 "Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies" has been renamed to 174 "Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics" effective September 1, 2023.

The objects of activity for graduates of this specialty include technical, software, mathematical, informational, and organizational support for automation systems of objects and processes in various fields using modern microprocessor and computer technology, specialized applied software, and information technologies; control objects and processes (technological processes, production, organizational structures), as well as technical, informational, mathematical, software, and organizational support for automation systems in various industries.

The educational goal is to train specialists capable of comprehensively solving tasks related to the development of new and the modernization and operation of existing automation systems and computer-integrated technologies using modern software and hardware tools and information technologies. This includes conducting theoretical research on automation objects, justifying the choice of technical automation tools, designing automation systems, and developing applied software for various purposes. Furthermore, it aims to prepare engineers and scientists capable of solving complex problems in creating, improving, and supporting automation systems, cyber-physical systems, and digital transformation technologies within the framework of Industry 4.0, facilitating the rapid adaptation of products and services and ensuring the transition from the physical to the digital world.
