Specialty 172 «Electronic Communications and Radio Engineering» prepares specialists in the development, design, configuration, and maintenance of communication systems, wireless networks, radar equipment, telecommunication systems, and satellite technologies.

Main Study Areas:

Wireless Communication and Mobile Networks: deployment and optimization of mobile communication networks (4G, 5G, 6G), satellite, and Wi-Fi communications.

Radio Engineering Systems and Radar: development of transmitters, receivers, antennas, radar systems, radio navigation, and electronic warfare (EW) systems.

Telecommunication Networks and Fiber Optics: design of fiber-optic backbones (FTTH/PON), digital telephone exchanges, traffic routing, and switching.

Circuitry and Microwave Engineering: design of ultra-high frequency (UHF/microwave) devices, digital signal processors, and electronic units.
