According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1392 dated December 16, 2022, the specialty 172 "Telecommunications and Radio Engineering" has been renamed to 172 "Electronic Communications and Radio Engineering" effective September 1, 2023.
The objects of activity for graduates of this specialty include a set of technologies, tools, ways, and methods of processing, storing, and exchanging information at a distance, and the application of electromagnetic oscillations and waves—particularly in radar and radio navigation—to monitor and control machines, mechanisms, and technological processes in electronic and medical equipment, measuring devices, and systems.
The educational goal is to form and develop general and professional competencies in the implementation and application of telecommunications and radio engineering technologies that contribute to the social stability and mobility of the graduate in the labor market.
Training is conducted at the following departments:
- Aerospace Radio-Electronic Systems (501);
- O.O. Zelenskyi Department of Information and Communication Technologies (504)
