Employees of the Department of Information Technologies of Design (105) of KhAI participated in the international summer school on unmanned systems “Swarm & Detect: Next-Gen UAV in Smart City”, which was held this month in Riga at the Riga Technical University (RTU).
The school’s topics are directly related to the department’s areas of work and the training of specialists in the specialty “Intelligent Unmanned Vehicles”.
The program combined theoretical training with practical classes. Participants gained experience working with unmanned systems, mastered the assembly and testing of UAVs, programming swarm systems, flight planning and navigation, as well as controlling FPV drones - from simulator training to practical flights.
Special attention during the school was paid to modern technologies for the development of intelligent unmanned systems: artificial intelligence, computer vision, navigation, sensor and radar technologies.
Participation in the international summer school became an opportunity for representatives of KhAI to improve practical skills and get acquainted with modern approaches to the development and application of unmanned systems.
The knowledge and practical experience gained can be used for the further development of the educational process and training of specialists in the field of intelligent unmanned technologies at KhAI.
