The National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” celebrated the final of the professional skills competition “Icarus KAI 2025.”
The celebration was not only a moment of professional triumph, but also an act of solidarity: during the award ceremony, funds were collected in the hall for our defenders.
After a welcoming speech by the acting rector of the KhAI, Oleksiy Lytvynov, the award ceremony began.
The winners of the competition (1st place):
- “Best Scientist” — Dmytro Chumachenko, associate professor of the Department of Mathematical Modeling and Artificial Intelligence;
- “Best Teacher of Professionally Oriented Disciplines” — Konstantin Dergachov, Senior Researcher, Head of the Department of Aircraft Control Systems;
- “Best Teacher of Fundamental Disciplines” — Evgenia Sokolova, Associate Professor of the Department of Software Engineering;
- “Best Teacher of Social Sciences and Humanities” — Veronika Kovalchuk, Professor, Department of Economics and Public Administration;
- “Best Young Researcher and Teacher” — Oleksandr Vdovichenko, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Systems, Networks, and Cybersecurity;
- “Best Student Mentor” — Viktoria Burdeina, Associate Professor of the Department of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering;
- “Best Head of Department” — Vyacheslav Kharchenko, Head of the Department of Computer Systems, Networks, and Cybersecurity;
- “Best Specialist in Educational Process Support” — Olena Mamina, Lead Engineer, Department of Aircraft and Helicopter Design;
- “Best Specialist in Organization and Methodological Support” — Nataliia Mazepa, Editor, Category I, Editorial and Publishing Department;
- “Best Specialist in Administrative and Management Departments and Social Services” — Oleksandr Kushnarenko, Acting Director of the Public Relations Center;
- “Best Specialist in Engineering and Operational Services” — Artem Krasovskyi, Chief Mechanic of the Chief Mechanic Department;
- “Best employee of operational services and social security services” — Natalia Gorobets, worker of the operational and technical department.
We also congratulate all the winners who took second and third places. Your work is the strong wings of our university!
A special and extremely touching moment was the presentation of the university's highest award — the “Star of KAI.” When the winners took the stage, the hall erupted in applause, because each name represents a separate era, a glorious history that has nurtured more than one generation of aviators.
The “Star of KAI” award was presented to:
- Alla Bilchuk — Lead Engineer, Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences;
- Olga Butenko — Professor, Department of Geoinformation Technologies and Space Monitoring of the Earth;
- Valery Kozhukhov — Head of the Laboratory of the Department of Aviation Engine Production Technology;
- Alla Prylutskaya — Head of the Department of Documentation and Information Activities;
- Olga Protsenko — Head of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences;
- Volodymyr Svyishch — Professor of the Department of Aircraft Control Systems, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine;
- Valery Sikulsky — Professor of the Department of Aircraft Production Technology;
- Viktor Sukhorebriy — Professor of the Department of Information Technologies in Design;
- Clyde Furmanov — Professor of the Department of Computer Systems, Networks, and Cybersecurity;
- Oleksandr Tsiryuk — Professor of the Department of Rocket Technology Design and Construction.
